Cypress

Among the types of wood is good to remind of the cypress because although normally it is used rarely for the construction of harmonic plates for string instruments, evertheless it has left its mark in the past.

It grows mainly from the Mediterranean area to the mountains and is characterized by its slender foliage. it is extremely easy to find it in Tuscany and Umbria.

It is mainly used in woodworking and furniture manufacture, thanks to its hard and compact wood. In the field of violinmaking today it is used for the construction of plucked string instruments such as the guitar classic thanks to its sound.
