Jujube Tree

The jujube is a very slow growing tree and is similar to a shrub that is cultivated throughout the Italian peninsula. Its wood is very hard and compact but does not reach large sizes.

Because of its many nodes on the trunk it’s mostly used in turnery. In the field of violin making is well suited for the manufacture of pegs and frames in general.
